Friday: Late afternoon we drove up to Red Wing to see my Mom. We left a little after 5 - didn't pull into Red Wing until 11 ish. The roads were pretty bad - which we knew before we left but we decided to brave it anyway. Kevin did an awesome job of driving! We stopped at Fazoli's for dinner (a fast food Italian restaurant). Blake had spaghetti - he certainly enjoyed eating it!
Saturday: We hung out with Mom for a few hours (and also saw my Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Paul for a few minutes before we left!). Blake had fun running around my Grandma Forsberg's house. The house is set up in a way that you can run in circles and Blake had a ton of fun doing that! We then headed up to the Twin Cities to see my brother Shaun and check out the Minnesota Children's Museum.

We ate lunch with Shaun at Annie's - a yummy burger and shake joint in Dinkytown. We then headed over to the University Bookstore to purchase some Gopher apparel. (You can never have enough Gopher apparel!) Then it was off to the Children's Museum. Blake really enjoyed himself there! The first exhibit we saw/played with was a water exhibit. There was running water, all sorts of tubes and ping pong balls. Blake walked around trying to collect as many balls as he could! He probably could have stayed in that room for the whole afternoon if we let him!
The other exhibits that Blake really enjoyed were the Habitat (made especially for toddlers) and Clifford the Big Red Dog. He was so excited to see Clifford, T-Bone and Cleo!

Then it was off to drop Shaun off at the U. He gave us a tour of his apartment and we met one of his roommates. It was great being on campus for a little while - Kevin and I had fun reminiscing!
We drove back down to Iowa after that - it took us about 4 hours to get home - much shorter then the drive up!
Sunday: A day of relaxation, Learn to Skate and taxes. I think that pretty much sums up the day. We are hoping to have the taxes all finished by tonight - we want to get our refund!

So that was pretty much our weekend. It was great to get out of the house and do something fun! Hopefully when the weather starts to warm up we'll get out and do more! Hurry Up Spring!
