So yesterday for lunch I decided to try giving Blake a peanut butter sandwich. I knew there was a possibility that he might have a reaction so I spread a very thin layer on the bread. He really liked the sandwich - but after he was finished I noticed that his eczema on his face was pretty bad and that his lips were swollen. We gave him some children's benadryl and the rash went away and his lips returned to their normal size. Today he has a rash all over his tummy but he won't take the benadryl. I wish he would since it would make him feel better!
We have his 15 month check-up on January 12th - so I will definitely ask the Dr. if this allergy is one he can grow out of. I certainly hope so!!!
