John Wayne & Madison County Bridges

Today we made our way over to Madison County to check out John Wayne's birthplace and some of the historic bridges. We first made our way over to John Wayne's house to check out their tour and gift shop. Blake had fun running around the store flirting with the sales woman. We were all surprised at how small the house was but considering he was born in 1907 - it does make sense.

After that we made our way over to the city park to eat a yummy picnic lunch, play on the playground and see two of the bridges. (the stone bridge pictured below was in the movie Bridges of Madison County.) Then we went to see the Holliwell bridge which I believe was also in the movie. They are pretty amazing covered bridges.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home and watching movies. Tomorrow we are going to stick close to home and Kevin's parents are going to visit some family during Blake's naptime.
