Go Twinkies!!!!

Yup - that's right. We went to a Minnesota Twins game on Sunday :) Blake's first major league baseball game. It was a lot of fun!

We had to make sure that we arrived up in the Cities before the gates opened at the Metrodome. The reason being - it was Kirby Puckett bobblehead day. Randy, John, Ann, Jack, and Jerry left early to hold a place in line for everyone. Kevin, Linda, Blake and I left about 2 hrs after them (didn't want to wait with an 18 month old!) We arrived around 10:30 and only had to wait about 35 minutes before making our way inside. Blake had fun walking up and down the sidewalk outside the Dome people watching.

Once the game started - Blake had a ball!! He sat in his chair clapping and cheering! It helped that Randy and Linda took Blake for a walk before the game started around the concourse. Blake did start to get tired during the game (it was during naptime after-all). He didn't fall asleep but he was content to sit in either my lap or Kevin's lap.

The Twins ended up losing 7-5 to the Kansas City Royals. It was a fun game - they had an opportunity to come back at the end but that obviously didn't pan out. After the game we made our way over to the U of M campus to check out the new Gopher Stadium. Then it was off to dinner at Joe Senser's....yummy! We didn't end up getting home until after 11 pm - but thankfully Blake slept in the car!
