Our Halloween celebrations began on Friday at a Truck or Treat at Blake's preschool. We decorated the back of our car and handed out treats for all the preschoolers and churchgoer's from St. Tim's. Blake had a blast - he especially liked the moving truck that was all decorated with spoooooky things!
Here in Des Moines there is Beggar's Night - the evening before Halloween. And this is when everyone goes out trick or treating. I don't know why they don't go on Halloween? Everyone I've asked doesn't know why either! Regardless of it being on the 30th, we really enjoyed ourselves! We had a ton of fun walking around the neighborhood- Blake was super excited running everywhere! He was definitely on a mission!
And finally to commence our Halloween celebrations, we went to the zoo for their trick or treating. Once again, Blake enjoyed getting all the candy - but his favorite part was all the bounce houses! I think he bounced around for an hour?! It took quite a while for us to get him out! But it was all worth it!
So now we have a huge bowl full of candy that we don't need to eat. Oh well - the fun memories are definitely worth it all!
