On Saturday we drove up to Boone to see Thomas the Train! Blake was really excited to see Thomas - on Friday and Saturday he was constantly going around yelling "Choo-Choo!" He was a little grump while we were there so that made it not quite as fun but we did enjoy ourselves.

This was the first tent we entered - the musical tent. He did not want to leave....therefore tantrum #1 occurred. (and there were many tantrums!)

After playing in the music tent for a while and walking through a hay maze, we made our way onto the passenger trains! We purchased tickets so we would be able to go on a 20 minute train ride. Blake thought it was so cool. He did ask if we would be going through a tunnel or over a bridge so he was a bit disappointed when we didn't do that. (his train set at home has a bridge and a tunnel).

While on the train ride, we were able to see lots of farm land!

A picture with Thomas!! (we took a family picture in front with the professional photographers but we forgot to look at it before we left)

Before we left for the day (after playing with the different train tracks and buying some birthday gifts) Blake got a temporary tattoo! He wasn't quite sure what to make of it - he would look down at his arm and say "Oh No!" and try to remove the tattoo. But then he would get all excited because he had Thomas on his arm.
Our Thomas outing was pretty fun - Blake's excitement was well worth it :)

Glad to hear you had fun! We're beginning to regret our decision to go see Thomas because now that's all we hear during the day. "Thomas, Mommy. Thomas train. On a TV, Mommy. Pwease!"
