So Wednesday we began our moving journey. We had the truck all packed by late Tuesday night (with the help of Kevin's family - thank you so much!!!). We were hoping to get started around 8 am on Wednesday - but both Kevin and I had a horrible night of sleep on Tuesday and woke up feeling horrible. So we didn't leave Sacramento until 11:30. Since we had the late start - we didn't go as far. We ended up staying in Elko, Nevada our first night. Then from Elko we made it to Rawlins, Wyoming. (so we went thru Utah in one day). And then today we made it from Rawlins to Lincoln, Nebraska. We were hoping to make it to Omaha - but the roads were really bad this morning so we had to take it slow.
Anyways - tomorrow we'll make it to Des Moines. We should be there by lunch time. Then we'll be able to unpack and start to get settled. Blake has been doing wonderful on this trip. We try to get out of the car for a little while during lunch time so he can walk around and stretch his legs. But mostly he has been napping and looking at all the trucks. He points at every truck we see (which ends up being quite a bit!)
We won't have internet service until Sunday afternoon - so it I am feeling up to it - I'll post some pics from our journey across 1/2 the country!
